Albemarle introduce new PCG-approved contracts

Addressing many of the contractual issues relating to businesses operating outside the IR35 environment, Albemarle, in partnership with Professional Contractors Group (PCG), has developed a standard 'IR35-friendly' contract for interim managers that has been reviewed and approved by tax experts and commercial lawyers. It is hoped that the new fully-validated contracts will save time and offer peace of mind to all parties.

Continuity of employment

For many of our interim managers, one of the key benefits of teaming up with Albemarle is continuity of employment. Not surprisingly, our long-term relationships often lead to Interims being placed again and again. Over 60% of our interim managers have worked on at least three Albemarle assignments.

Enabling our interim managers to meet and exchange ideas with peers from the Albemarle Interim community, and keep up with the latest business trends and legislation, we arrange a number of events during the year, including: dinners, forums, seminars, as well as sports and other social events.

Setting yourself up as an Interim Manager

All Albemarle interim managers operate as Limited Companies. This widely accepted industry practice brings professional credibility and differentiates you from the typical temporary worker or sole practitioner.

With Limited Company status, however, come professional responsibilities. In particular, the obligation to commit to, and comply in full with, the objectives and terms of any interim contract you agree to undertake. This in turn provides security for our mutual clients, and helps make 'the interim option' increasingly more attractive to them, helping to secure more repeat business.

As the managing director of your own Limited Company, you will need to draw up business plans and marketing strategies, arrange professional indemnity inssurance, and perhaps engage the services of an accountant.
