Interim Project Manager/Facilitator NHS Patient Discharge

The Role

An Interim Project Manager/Facilitator is required to lead a joint project on behalf of a London PCT/Acute Trust. The role sits as part of a major local initiative to bring together local NHS orgnaisations such as the PCT, Acute Trust, GP's and other stakeholders with a view to redesigning the way that services are delivered to enhance the patient experience in the locality. An independent report highlighted recently specific areas for improvement focusing on patient discharge and this is now the immediate priority for the locality.
As Interim Project Manager/Facilitator, you would take responsibility for delivering initiatives identified by the report. Your remit will be broad and will include stakeholder engagement, overall project responsibility for delivery of discharge improvements, setting up and facilitating workshops, service redesign including responsibility for implementation of the new service.

This is an exciting and diverse role, with an opportunity to make a real difference in driving high quality and innovative care. The successful candidate must have experience of facilitating multi-stakeholder events (ideally within the NHS). Candidates with specific service design knowledge and experience of discharge arrangements will be of particular interest. Strong project management skills will also be advantageous. Candidates demonstrating that they are a qualified facilitator (or mediator) will be of particular interest.

The assignment is expected to start immediately, is based in London and is expected to last for 6 months.
