Interim management assignments typically last from 3 - 6 months, but can be extended by agreement.
Interim managers can be used to bridge critical or unexpected staffing gaps: to fill a vacant post, for example, before a full time appointment is made; or strengthen an existing team, who are over-stretched, lack the specific skills to undertake a particular task effectively, or are simply under-performing.
